Petter Håkanson Marine was established in 1998.

The owner, chief designer Petter Håkanson, Master of Science in Shipbuilding at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm has gained a great deal of experience from design and construction of boats after 12 years of employment as a project designer in the naval department of the Swedish Defence Material Administration.

We address ourselves to shipyards, public authorities and private customers.

Most shipyards have none or very limited resource of projection and designing. At the same time they have often ideas for new kinds of boats demanded for in the market. We listen to the ideas and help out to convert them into completed projects.

Authorities have often a very good idea of what their new boat shall be able to stand up to. However, it is necessary to give accurate specifications when ordering a boat. Inaccurate requirements can result in a boat not answering to expectations or in unnecessary large extra costs in course of the construction.

Also private customers have usually a very good opinion of what to require of their new working- or pleasure boat.
